Lena Christensen is a Eurasian model, actress, and pop singer who grew up in Denmark and enjoyed success in both Thailand and Europe.  She is the younger sister of a Thai film star, Piacher Christensen.

Model

Lena’s modeling career took off, at age 16, when she returned to Thailand to attend an international school.  She quickly captured the admiration of a leading fashion stylist, landed the cover of a magazine and starred in a Sony television-commercial.  Instantly famous, Lena appeared in numerous advertisements, some of which included Ponds Cold -Cream, Bobbi Brown Cosmetics, and Honda.  She also modeled consistently for fashion catalogues and leading magazines.  Some of her magazine covers included Harper’s Bazaar (Denmark), Elle (Thailand), and Cleo (Thailand).  Lena walked the runway weekly for local high-fashion designers and international brands such as Guess, Nike, Marks & Spencer, Addidas and Benetton.

After three years of professional modeling work, which included starring in numerous music videos for leading artists Lena decided to become a pop singer, as she had always excelled at singing.  Her fame as a successful recording artist led to several major advertising-campaigns such as Dutch Mill light, LUX shower cream, and Nivea roll-on.  Lena loved singing and was very popular, but her talent quickly attracted the attention of film producers who persuaded her to try acting.

Acting, Producing, & Directing

As an actress, Lena appeared in numerous Thai films and television series, including ones filmed on location in countries such as Russia.  She also starred in an Indian film, a Danish documentary television-series, and co-starred in a popular American film with Jonathan Rhys Meyers.  Lena’s talent for languages allowed her to speak Hindi, Russian, Thai, English, and Danish in her films.

Lena’s first television series brought her much acclaim, as she was nominated for a best actress award.  Soon, she starred in many other popular television series and feature films.  Film producers loved Lena because she could perform her own stunt work, within one or two takes.

Lena co-starred with Jonathan Rhys Meyers in “The Tesseract,” an American-film based on a popular book by Alex Garland who wrote “The Beach,” and “28 Days Later.”  The film was well received and was nominated for numerous awards at film festivals.  She later starred in a critically acclaimed Thai film called, “Sars Wars.”  However, it was in “From Bombay to Bangkok,” a Bollywood romantic comedy, where Lena was able to show off her exceptional talent as a singer and dancer.   Later, she was the focus of a Danish documentary, “Piger Med Power,” (Women with Power), a biographical series on her life and family background, which made her famous in Scandinavia for a few years.

Like many successful actresses, Lena was not content at only being in front of the camera.  Soon, she was directing and producing projects such as “Hello Angels,” a television show focused on beauty and health.  She was also involved with productions such as “Thailand’s Next Top Model,” and the “Miss Thailand Beauty Pageant.”

A fitness expert, Lena produced her own exercise show which successfully ran for many years on a major television channel.  She also authored, “Beautiful Fitness,” a major best seller, which was printed three times.

Lena is fluent in Danish, English, and Thai.  She is a professional dancer and black-belt in Tae Kwon Doe.  When Lena is not performing in front of the camera, she is passionate about taking pictures.  Her love for capturing beauty began, at age fourteen, when she took a two-year photography course in Denmark.  Versed in the fundamentals of traditional photography, Lena also excels with the latest formats and easily captures magazine quality images.
